This week I watched The Cowboys starring John Wayne. He is absolutely amazing in this movie. This movie didn’t have too many effects, but it did have some cool shots. For instance when the cook walks in on the boys all out of bed and the kids all run across the room to get in bed and you see a cool zoom in on his face. The scene where the child gets trampled is also very well done and it is a heart breaking moment in the story. Usually I have problems with child actors but in this movie they were all really well done and beautifully cast. I couldn’t tell you all of their names because none of them really stood out to me that much except for the oldest one who was a little cocky. It’s ok that they’re not memorable though which is fine, as long as they didn’t hurt the movie it’s fine. The Cowboys was a very good film and it really embodies John Wayne’s acting and how he was the greatest cowboy to ever live. He really pushes this movie to be a good movie and not a bad movie, without him the movie would fall short, but it is a very good classic.

I watched Shawshank redemption this week. This movie really made me feel for the prisoners inside of jail. You here of the story of red and Andy. Both men are very different in that Andy didn’t commit a crime but he was put in there, while red did commit a crime but it was when he was 18 and he was still in there as an old man. He was 18 and he was put in for so long. You really feel for both of the characters and you see the horrors of prison.
The movies color also was very dark and gloomy in the prison, but anywhere outside of the prison was bright and vibrant. Also the use of sound like when he was busting the pipe and he used the rock and sound of thunder and lightning to escape. This whole scene was emotional because you didn’t know if he was gonna get caught or if he was gonna get away. I also enjoyed the ending, this is where color really comes into play. He is on the beach with Andy and it is so beautiful and bright. Also the tree where Andy hid the money for red was full of color to represent hope in my mind. I overall loved this movie and would maybe even put it on my top 5 I watched Forrest Gump this week and I am always very impressed when I watch this movie. The movie has a lot of very amazing plot points and story just flows like water making it enjoyable for anyone who wants to watch it. Even kids can enjoy it, even though some scenes may not be appropriate for them.
I always wonder how they shoot so many of they’re amazing scenes. For example I wonder how they made the scene where the car is chasing Forrest without actually hitting the persons legs. Or how they made that boat storm scene so believable. It also is really creative filmmaking the way that they put Forrest Gump in past recordings of things that actually happened. I personally really enjoyed watching this movie and me rewatching this movie made me realize that I should’ve put it on my top 5 list. I really love the castings for this movie, obviously Forrest and Jenny are extremely well cast, but they’re is not one character or cast member that fell short for me at all. I loved this movie and I’m happy that I watched it. I watched jumanji welcome to the jungle this weekend. The movie was very action packed and made me really remember the first movie. I enjoyed the first movie a lot, and I was skeptical about the movie. It really surprised me though. I thought it was better than the first movie by far.
There was a lot better action, better graphics and better characters in general. Jack black did a amazing job to change into the mind of a 17 year old girl. The rock and Kevin Hart were awesome as always. I especially liked the aspect of the rock being a weakling, and Kevin Hart being the strong man. Nick jones’s character was a really cool idea the way that he was in the game for years and his life was mostly inside of a video game and he thought he was in the game for only a few months. I really enjoyed the movie overall, and it had a great story and it was really like watching someone play a video game and them reaction to what happens Generally, but the character actually reacts not just a still moving person which makes the whole concept very enjoyable. The internship is a movie about two old school salesmen that get fired from their jobs because the company went under that they were working at. They were regarded as some of the best salesmen of all time for that company. So they set out to find a new job and they eventually get a internship at google, they have to work with a team of smart introverted kids who are all very good at what they do.
Overall I really enjoyed this movie, Owen Wilson was amazing as always with all of his roles. The movie itself is just very funny, I also love the way that they’re is actually growth to all the characters in their group just the main two. The kids all get touched by the life lessons that these two guys try to teach them. The movie also gives a solid secret plot that happens right under their noses, which makes for a very creative reveal. I watched Tag, it was probably one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. It is based on a true story about a group of friends that has been playing the same game of tag for 30 years. The actors they picked for this movie are all huge big shots and they all lived up to the hype. The movie itself actually had a great message too it as well.
The action scenes in this from Jeremy Reneer are hilarious, they make it seem as if he is almost surreal, which adds this amazing vibe to it. The action shots almost look like they are out of a comic book. The cast also seems like they all really enjoy each other which adds for amazing chemistry on screen. The movie also knows how to make serious moments hilarious too, and you never know if it’s a joke or not. Overall I’d say this is a amazing movie and I would recommend to anyone who is at least 15 or 16 Deadpool 2 is a fantastic movie. With action and plenty of awesome moments that just leave your jaw dropped and with one of the most interesting ways to start a sequel I was very impressed with the movie. I personally liked the first movie a lot better though because Deadpool 2 starts out really slow, and then once the character gets going the story picks up a lot. I also realized that they had to do some crazy ideas in the movie to make it a success with such a crazy character, but I felt like a few of those moments were very hit or miss for me.
I will say that not all of the characters were used to their full potential, you will understand that if you actually watch the film. I think they did this so that the newer characters could prosper and a lot of them did such as domino who really shined out along with cable, but i wish they would have collaborated with other characters rather then just virtually cut the old characters. I will say overall I enjoyed the movie very much, I believe Ryan Reynolds is the perfect casting choice for Deadpool and I do hope there is a third movie, because the second movie certainly did not disappoint. I watched justice league doom. It is a animated DC movie. It is a very good movie, and I loved the art style. I have seen many DC animated movies and TV shows, and at times the animation can be rather lack luster, but in this movie the graphics were on point and i was very impressed. I also love the whole story of the movie. It is a very entertaining take on what limits should Batman have for himself. Because currently he is pretty overpowered. The one thing I did not like is a few of the villains in the movie. I felt they could’ve been replace with better ones. For example I felt that sapphire should’ve been maybe Sinestro.
I also wish the joker and vandal savage would’ve worked together. Also the flash’s villain and Superman’s villains were very weak. Sure they played them right. But I wish they were different characters. One relationship I really love in the movie is Green Lantern and Batman, they have always seemed to work well together on the screen for me, even though they are basically polar opposites. The hero’s were all very good, but I did think that a few of the characters were overshadowed by others such as flash and green lantern, but they do have their own movies so that makes up for that one. Overall I very much loved the movie. I felt that it was a captivating story. |
